China Earthquakes
On Monday, there was an earthquake in China. Many people were killed from it and there were students trapped under the rubble of a school.”Teenagers were struggling to break loose from underneath the rubble of the three-story building in Juyuan “while others were crying out for help.” Two girls were quoted by Xinhua as saying they escaped because they had “run faster than others.” “The Olympic venues were not affected by the earthquake,” said Sun Weide, a spokesman for the Beijing organizing committee.”Traffic jams, no running water, power outs, everyone sitting in the streets, patients evacuated from hospitals sitting outside and waiting.” “A magnitude 7.8 earthquake is considered a major event, capable of causing widespread damage and injuries in populated areas.”

1. Why do you like using Photoshop?_ I lik using photoshop beacuse I enjoy doing different things to pictures and seeing how it looks when i use different tools.
2. When you look at magazines, do you think differently about yourself?_ Somtimes I do,but I know that they do different things to make the stars look the way they do.
3. What does “perfect” mean to you? _perfect means having nothing wrong, every detail of that person or thing is how yu want it.
4. What are the pros and cons of using Photoshop?_pros are you can do different things to a picture and you can make anything you want. cons is that people can use photoshop and have a complete different picture then what they started with. so if someone did a picture of a person and took away all the features they dont like about them and make it seem like there face and body is perfect and send that picyure to someone, none would really know what that person truly looks like.
5. What do you think the societal expectations are for body type and looks based on what we see in magazines?_People get all these things done to them to make them look prettier but it actually causes them to look worse then they truly are. When someone gets a noise job most of the time it doesnt look any better or something may happen to it. example: michael jackson, he gott a noise job so many times the bone broke.
6. How do you feel about these expectations?_ I think its stupid for someone to go and do different thing to there body and face. Nobodys perfect, people do have things they may or may not like about them selfs. But that doesnt mean you should go and change it, thats what makes you different from others. You wouldnt want to be the same as everyone else.
7. Do you think that all of these famous people are as perfect as they seem?_No not at all. There people too, noone is that perfect that they have nothing wrong with them and if they may look perfect they most likly arent.
8. How does Photoshop alter their features?_ Photoshop can take away bimples, whiten teeth, make them look darker then they may be, change the top of there hair line, there eyes, nose cheecks, lips. it can do anything you make it into.
9. Do you think these alterations are good or bad?_ Well its ok if yu would like to change one ting on yur face. But if you want to change your whole look then what you really look like then thats bad.
