Many people were killed from it and there were students trapped under the rubble of a school.”Teenagers were struggling to break loose from underneath the rubble of the three-story building in Juyuan “while others were crying out for help.” Two girls were quoted by Xinhua as saying they escaped because they had “run faster than others.” “The Olympic venues were not affected by the earthquake,” said Sun Weide, a spokesman for the Beijing organizing committee.”Traffic jams, no running water, power outs, everyone sitting in the streets, patients evacuated from hospitals sitting outside and waiting.” “A magnitude 7.8 earthquake is considered a major event, capable of causing widespread damage and injuries in populated areas.”

1. Why do you like using Photoshop?_ I lik using photoshop beacuse I enjoy doing different things to pictures and seeing how it looks when i use different tools.
2. When you look at magazines, do you think differently about yourself?_ Somtimes I do,but I know that they do different things to make the stars look the way they do.
3. What does “perfect” mean to you? _perfect means having nothing wrong, every detail of that person or thing is how yu want it.

What are the pros and cons of using Photoshop?_pros are you can do different things to a picture and you can make anything you want. cons is that people can use photoshop and have a complete different picture then what they started with. so if someone did a picture of a person and took away all the features they dont like about them and make it seem like there face and body is perfect and send that picyure to someone, none would really know what that person truly looks like.
5. What do you think the societal expectations are for body type and looks based on what we see in magazines?_People get all these things done to them to make them look prettier but it actually causes them to look worse then they truly are. When someone gets a noise job most of the time it doesnt look any better or something may happen to it. example: michael jackson, he gott a noise job so many times the bone broke.
6. How do you feel about these expectations?_ I think its stupid for someone to go and do different thing to there body and face. Nobodys perfect, people do have things they may or may not like about them selfs. But that doesnt mean you should go and change it, thats what makes you different from others. You wouldnt want to be the same as everyone else.
7. Do you think that all of these famous people are as perfect as they seem?_No not at all. There people too, noone is that perfect that they have nothing wrong with them and if they may look perfect they most likly arent.
8. How does Photoshop alter their features?_ Photoshop can take away bimples, whiten teeth, make them look darker then they may be, change the top of there hair line, there eyes, nose cheecks, lips. it can do anything you make it into.
9. Do you think these alterations are good or bad?_ Well its ok if yu would like to change one ting on yur face. But if you want to change your whole look then what you really look like then thats bad.

Wisdom of forgiveness after unspeakable tragedy
1. The young man in this picture is Matt la Porte.

3. He died at the Virgina Tech. shooting.
4. I got a little upset, I think that it was really hard for a mother to write about her son who died.
5. I think of what ifs after something bad has happen, but i think that what ifs don’t make a difference after the fact it happen all ready.
6. I think that shes right know matter what people should forgive, because its not good to hold a grudge, even though someone hurt you in some way.
7. “Rather true to forgiveness is the point at which you refuse to allow yourself to remain hostage to sorrow or grudges.” _ That made me stop and think to myself. How true this maybe, Its so hard to forgive someone who but you thew so much pain but holding a grudge is it worth it? I dont think so, holding a grudge wont change what happen, it wont make you feel better. You may think its a good pay back, but it wont help you or make the pain go away.
“My family is completely faith based and as such we are all on this journey of love and mercy together.”_ It makes me think how lucky I am to have a family to love and care for me and always there for me no matter what stupid thing i may do and that there there for me threw everything.
8. Things happen, and we should spend every moment happy with the ones you love because you never know what will happen the next day.

“ABBA drummer dies in apparent accident”
“Drummer Ola Brunkert, here performing last year in Sweden, toured with Abba in the late 1970s.
Ola Brunkert was found dead late Sunday at his home in the town of Arta on Spain’s Mediterranean island of Mallorca, the spokeswoman said.
Police believe Brunkert may have fallen against a glass partition separating his home’s kitchen from the garden, and the glass broke and fatally cut his throat, she said.
He was found in the garden and is believed to have bled to death, she added. An official cause of death is pending until after an autopsy.”
I think that is unbelieveable and upsetting. He was a really good person. I hate finding out when someone died, or got hurt in some way.
Four Killed In Martin County Plane Crash
Four men were killed when a small plane crashed in a cow pasture near a luxury home northwest of West Palm Beach. All four men were still inside the upside-down plane.They all died during the crash,no one was injured on the ground and no homes or other buildings were damaged during the crash. They have no idea where the plain even came from.
Prosecutor: Arrest made in UNC student’s slaying
A student from University of North Carolina, named Eve Carson. Had a connections with a killing . Someone was interested in Carson’s killing. “WTVD showed a video of police dragging a man in handcuffs out of a house and placing him in a squad car, taking him out of the car at another location”. Carson was shot to death and her body showed no signs of sexual assault or other injury.
“Law to make tongue kissing minors a sex offense”
State legislators passed a law that would says adults who French kiss a child younger than 13 to register as a sex offender. People who claim this action would be guilty of a “misdemeanor punishable” if you do this you would have one year in jail and a 2,500 fine.
